Camellia Ball 2012

Y'all know I love an excuse to dress up, but I was thrilled to be part of the 18th Annual Camellia Ball in a more personal way this year. The Ball is presented each year by AnMed as a benefit for Pediatric Therapy Works. Since I began working for my father over four years ago, I have had the amazing opportunity to meet some of the most wonderful and special children, many of whom are also patients at Pediatric Therapy Works. Pediatric Therapy Works provides specialized therapy and care to children in and around Anderson. Of course this kind of care is very expensive and would not be possible without the generous support of our community.  So each year, this fundraiser is held. I am so happy to share that this year more than $109,000 was raised!! I really love my sweet town more and more everyday. I am overwhelmed at the generosity of not only the money that individuals and business's donate each year, but the time people dedicate to this event. I want to give a personal shout out to my sweet girlfriends who came out and helped during the workdays and prepped for the big day!! There are men and women that I have known my whole life, who I did not know until this year, how much they really do each year to make this event possible!

The Anderson Civic Center is not the prettiest of venues and is quite a challenging canvas when decorating, but we work with what we have! haha!  The theme this year was Southern Elegance, and being that the Civic Center is also the home of the likes of Monster Truck Shows and Cage Fighting, I think it turned out pretty lovely.  Enjoy my not so professional pictures...

And, to my Anderson area friends, mark your calendars for Saturday, February 2, 2013!  Taylor and I are going to be Co-Chairs.  We will guarantee y'all a KILLER BAND, DELICIOUS FOOD(courtesy of Tucker's), AND well, I'm pretty stoked about our theme!!!
I don't think it has to be kept secret, but I'll wait and announce later when I am sure... ;)

Mountains. Winter. 2012.

I really can't think of any better way to "get away" than to escape up to the mountains for the weekend!  A short drive out of town, but yet I feel like I am a world away! Rest.  Relaxation. and of couse, FUN!  I love an excuse to get out of town!

Continuing the catch up blog photos.....from a recent weekend mountain trip!

Happy.

Very happy.

Huey!

I just feel so at home here!  Not sure why, but I just do!!
A good feeling.

Friends.

We missed Luisa on our getaway, but when I spotted these sparkly UGG boots, I felt she was with us in spirit! Ha!

Oh oh!  What a delight! A traditional Pimm's Cup was on the menu at the Old Edward's Inn menu.
The bartender came over to ask me if I approved, and why yes, bardtender, POUR ME ANOTHER! ;)

I want to go back....

best friend.

We had to do a little shopping at the Highland Hiker!

A wonderful time was had by all.

Manhattan, Fall 2011.

Oh oh, yes, another delayed post.  My apologies, but I just could not skip over my weekend fall getaway 2011 to the City.  I could write for days on how much I adore New York, but y'all know this.  This trip was no different...I explored, shopped, wined, and dined.  I enjoyed the company of dear friends and even played in the snow.  A perfect weekend.  Cant wait to get back this year.

So, in keeping with my "picture post catch up" blogs of late...here are some highlights from my October weekend:

I love a layover, really...

I could not have asked for a better person to watch the Clemson game with.

I enjoyed the view.

And took pictures with my lovely host and dear friend.

I got carried away in the Juicy Couture dressing room on Bleecker.  Yeah, I know---2006 called, it wants its MySpace profile picture back.

I pretended to be Meg Ryan in "You've Got Mail" as I usually do when I'm there.

I play a good tourist and loved that Linsay's apartment is across from Bethanny Frankel's apartment(now previous apt.)

My handsome friend Kevin, treated me to Passionistas!

and 2AM Pizza.

and of course I love playing "country come to town" and buying a white mocha at every Starbucks, on every corner.  no joke.

This posts is making me itch for another weekend getaway...where to next!?  I kind of want to get snowed in a cabin in the mountains.  Maybe I could actually catch up on my reading and blogging!

Thanks for reading my oh so out of date post.

Christmas 2011. Picture post part two!!!

Blogging. Procrastinator style. Insert your own captions. In short, it was a pretty awesome holiday season. My brothers were both here for Christmas, I love both my Sara(h)s, and my mom and dad are my Earthly angels. Oh and my friends are rockstars.
